Description

Real life has kinda gotten in the way for a while. But I did manage to slowly get back to writing bios here and there. So. There's that!

So I followed this prompt for Inktober, named Super People. You come up with heroes and villains depending on the day. So I thought it would be a good exercise in creating characters and pushing ideas from time to time, because trying to be an actual art guy. Whoda Thunk it.

I gave the guys on my Patreon the high res versions of these a while back. So here you go.

Last day of that specific challenge, and they requested for "The Young Hero".

When I originally started this project, and I saw this prompt, my original plan was to draw a younger image of Stanton, and kind of gone into detail about his younger days and all that, since when he was at peak power, he was something like a Golden Age...or stupidly low tiered Silver Age Superman in a way. But as I continued through, I thought more and more on it, and finally felt, maybe the next or another person who helmed the name Iron Falcon would help. So then I thought about gender, and other things.

I eventually settled on "Well...what if he ended up accidently having a kid with a woman who was the equivilent of New 52 Wonder Woman?" Then I thought a bit more...settled on this child being female, and figured she would be extremely powerful herself. So since Ivy kinda fit's the Hulk mystique, Carla here would be moreso the Superman. A bit modernized, but she does what she can.

Did decide to keep with the close look though, much like her father's image. Anyhoo, enjoy.

Hero Alias – The Iron Falcon II

Name : Carla Gaia Lane
Age : 31
Height : 6'3"
Weight : 840 lbs

Hometown : Laconia, Greece

Powers :

Super Strength – Due to her father’s unique modified-genetic stock...and her mother’s celestial nature, Carla’s powers are far beyond what her father has. With a rather herculean physique, Carla’s super strength is far greater than her appearance suggests. She may be arguably the strongest among those in the known reality these character’s exist in. She has managed to subdue the beast with a single blow, but it’s rumored both women are in the same tier. The rare times she has been tested, she has managed to overcome It, with little or some effort.

Nigh-Invunerabilty – Carla’s body is resistant to all forms of damage. She is heavily bullet resistant, her skin cannot be cut by normal mortal means, and is highly resistant to blunt force trauma. The only known thing to damage her severely has been items of a magical origin, and even with that, it slows her down temporarily.

Flight – Carla is capable of flight at far greater than supernatural speeds with great ease and control.

Super Speed – Carla is capable of sprinting at extreme speeds, although it’s unsure how fast she truly is. But she has outrun a magnet train going full speed with relative ease.

Super Reflexes – Carla has superhuman reflexes, capable of sidestepping munitions when she chooses, due to training from her mother.

Super Senses – Carla is capable of hearing over great distances, while she is able to see things that are not easily visible from others.

Energy Projection – Carla is capable of firing blasts from her eyes and hands. While she uses her hands primarily as a form of attacking with energy, her visor boosts her eye blasts when she occasionally decides to use it.

Other Abilities – She has other powers she has yet to explore, but she has in some ways not truly pushed herself, so she is unaware of her potential.

Alignment : Chaotic Good.

Mini Bio :

The Iron Falcon was a man who stood before so many tests of battle. With the acts of villains, dictators, and so many others, he was very well respected in the community of caped sorts. Among his peers was a young woman who never quite seemed to age, and to the surprise of her peers, consistently called herself a goddess. They never really believed her, but Alera, who fought crime under the moniker Gaea, they assumed the woman who moved mountains with her hands, and seemed unrelenting was just a woman so confident. But with her unnatural beauty and charisma, she caused the paragon of justice to for once… give into something he had never truly felt.

Lust.

While they shared only one night of passion, he thought that would be it...and he could return to his life, even apologizing to his wife, thinking that that was it.

As Alera returned back to her ancestral home, she realized...she was with child, and decided this child would bring peace, or at least fight for the new era that the world was entering. Birthing Carla not too long after, she realized she could not bring the child to him. If he struggled to put his life back together after his infidelity, what would happen if his wife had learned he had another child? So Alera chose to train her in silence, while raising her alone, expecting her to find her way to her father eventually once she was of the right age.

Carla’s youth was something awkward. She didn’t realize how different she was until she could outrun the kids. She could push heavier things. She could see so far, and hear so well...she could float off the ground. As Alera taught Carla more and more, Carla only became more wanting for the dangerous life her father and her mother once had. Realizing Carla would not be deterred, Alera allowed her to go out into the world once she hit her early 20’s. Landing stateside, she didn’t even waste a moment, and found herself watching her father from a distance, apprehending a criminal.

...Awaiting until he was alone, she introduced herself...and after initial shock...she could see the man was sad. Sad because...he did not have a chance to see his child grow, or have much to do with her growing up. She expected to be pushed away, but instead, was embraced. When she informed him of her intent, he figured he couldn’t have her just...running around without a name or an identity. Deciding it was fine, and there was always going to be a need for an Iron Falcon, he assisted her with a new uniform, and an identity. Years later, she is considered one of the most feared heroes...and one of the most dedicated to the people.

It’s to the point now… sometimes if a villain is unlucky to hear the Falcon has arrived, ”Oh, wait it’s not the old man coming? Oh no.”
